The American Forage and Grassland Council (AFGC) is dedicated to advancing the use of forage as a prime feed resource. Our members represent the academic community, producers, private industry, institutes and foundations. Together, they unite in a common cause to promote and develop the forage industry.

♦The Board of Directors for AFGC would like to adopt changes to the American Forage and Grassland Council By-laws.  Please review and provide any feedback by December 26, 2011.  Click here to see proposed changes.

♦Mark your calendar for the 1st Annual AFGC National Tour hosted by the Arkansas Forage and Grassland Council, May 17-18 in Rogers, Arkansas at the Embassy Suites.  More information will be available at the AFGC booth at the annual conference.  In addition to an amazing tour that the Arkansas group is putting together,  the AFGC National Hay Competition and the Cool Season Grass Workshop will also be held in conjunction with this event!

 

♦The Virginia Forage and Grassland Council is honoring the life of Dr. Harlan E. White, who was the driving force behind the formation of the Council, by working to establish an endowment to provide scholarships to support Virginia forage education and research.  Click here or more information.
